Remounting and unhinging the tilting sash cross(es): Unhinging: 1. Open the small safety plate to unhinge when tilted (ill. 1). 2. Close sash, move handle to cleaning position (ill. 2, C) and open the sash. Remounting: 1. Move handle to cleaning position for remounting (ill. 2, C). 2. Open the small safety plate on the casing of the tilting cross (ill. 1) and remount the cross arm. 3. Move the handle to the tilt position (ill. 2, B) and close the small safety plate again (ill. 3). If arrester and cleaning cross shafts are installed and the sash should be moved to the cleaning position, the sash needs to be tilted until it arrests in the safety position. Then operate the ratchet brace of the arrester and cleaning cross shafts and slowly move the sash into the cleaning position manually. CAUTION: • The full weight of the sash has to be handled manually for this measure. • Never perform this work alone for heavy sashes! • Never add additional weight (e.g. bucket) to sashes in cleaning position.
